Bhatti pays tributes to Sardar Sarvai Papanna Goud on his birth anniversary

Hyderabad: Deputy Chief Minister Bhatti Vikramarka has paid rich tributes to Sardar Sarvai Papanna, who fought against feudal lords for the rights of the downtrodden.
Speaking on the occasion of birth anniversary of Sardar Papanna on Sunday, the Deputy Chief Minister said Congress party’s Indiramma Rajyam concept drew its inspiration from the life of Sardar Papanna.
"Papanna desired to see downtrodden get power to rule and strove to achieve it. He fought for ample opportunities to weaker sections to improve their living standards," Bhatti said.
The Deputy Chief Minister stated that the Congress government has sanctioned Rs 4.7 crore to develop Papanna’s birth and native place as a tourist place. A booklet brought out on Papanna’s life history should be distributed to every village and copies be given to people . The government will sanction required funds for this, he said.
"The Congress government has allotted budget on a big scale for weaker sections and has been implementing several programmes. An amount of Rs 5,000 crore was allocated in the budget for construction of integrated schools as government believed that change could be brought about only through good education system. Free online coaching was being provided in every constituency to help candidates appearing for competitive examinations. Ambedkar knowledge centres will be constructed in every constituency," he explained.
Stating that there is no dearth of funds to publicise life story of Papanna, the Deputy Chief Minister said," If BC Welfare Minister formulates plans, the State government will be approved".
He entrusted the responsibility to install a statue of Sarvai Papanna at the heart of the city to Minister Ponnam Prabhakar.
"The government is ready to execute the plan if a site is identified," he disclosed.
Bhatti stated that Chief Minister Revanth Reddy asked him to share message that the State government would implement the thoughts and objectives of Papanna Goud.
